PHCC hosts town hall for Martinsville & Henry County

Patrick Henry Community College’s (PHCC) series of “listen and learn” town hall meetings continues on Thursday, November 3 in Martinsville. The community is invited to learn about PHCC’s upcoming initiatives and provide feedback for areas of improvement. The town hall meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Dalton IDEA Center in uptown Martinsville at 26 Fayette Street. Refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m.

At this event, college leaders will unveil the framework and high level goals associated with the institution’s new five-year strategic plan. Leaders will also provide enrollment, retention, and completion data regarding the Martinsville and Henry County service region and will ask residents and business leaders to share ways in which the college can best meet the educational and workforce needs of the community.

“The aim of the town hall meetings is to share information that directly impacts Martinsville and Henry County students and employers and then listen to the wants and needs of the community so that we can best serve the residents,” says Dr. Angeline Godwin, president. “Our students are our driving force. We design our programs to give them ideal pathways to local employment.”
