Adriene Bueno and Parul Khosla, co-founders of Arena, a leading career development and networking platform for sports, media & entertainment professionals and athletes, will serve as guest speakers for the 2025 Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) Annual Athletics Banquet on April 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the P&HCC MET Complex, presented by ValleyStar Credit Union.
With a mission to create equitable career opportunities for the next generation of leaders in the sports, media, and entertainment industries, Bueno and Khosla will share their expertise and inspire P&HCC student-athletes to take charge of their professional journeys.
Exclusive Career Development Workshop
Before the banquet, Bueno and Khosla will lead a workshop from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM titled “Breaking into the Industry: Careers in Sports, Media, and Entertainment.” This session aims to equip student-athletes with the tools and knowledge needed to transition into successful careers beyond athletics.
Workshop Goals:
✔ Introduce student-athletes to career opportunities in sports, media, and entertainment.
✔ Provide practical advice on networking, building a personal brand, and navigating the industry.
✔ Encourage student-athletes to take the next step by signing up for Arena to explore career opportunities and make industry connections.
As part of Arena’s commitment to empowering the next generation, the company will present “The Future Leader Award” to a deserving P&HCC student-athlete during the banquet. This prestigious honor will include:
✔A certificate/plaque recognizing leadership and career potential.
