Student Support Services (SSS) at Patrick & Henry Community College is a comprehensive federally funded TRIO program that assists students in succeeding in their academic and personal goals. SSS offers a range of services to support students, including academic advising, tutoring, counseling, and career guidance. These services are designed to help students navigate their academic journey, overcome challenges, and achieve their full potential. Additionally, SSS provides support for students with disabilities, veterans, and other specific needs. The college is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where all students can thrive.
ROAD Scholars
Eligibility
P&HCC students in any of these categories may apply:
- First-generation college students (parent/guardian has not earned a bachelor’s degree)
- Classified as low income according to Department of Education federal guidelines
- Documented disAbility
Students who apply and are selected must:
- Demonstrate a need for academic support services
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
- Maintain a 2.0 or higher GPA
- Strive to complete their program of study
Available Services
- Additional academic support and advising
- Supplemental Scholarship Funds
- Assistance with financial literacy/budgeting assistance
- Visits to educational, historic, and cultural events
- Career and transfer advising
